Loss of conscious
- complete
- transient of short duration
- sudden
- followed by recuperation
- loss of postural tone
- no traumatic cause
All above criteria must be present for the diagnosis of syncope.
Inappropriate diagnosis of syncope
- epilepsy
- metabolic dsorder métaboliques (hypoglycemia, hyperventilation, hypocapnia)
- intoxication
- cerebrovascular accident
- catalepsia
- psychic disorder
- drop attacks
